Sadie hunting for clues on campus with Crystal

First Stop - Progress Plaza
Sadie, of Sadie and Lily, began her volunteer duties as the official unofficial mascot of Temple University’s Information Technology and Society Research Group – ITSRG – this week. She interned for a day to see how the staff would react to her. They seem to like her just fine, but even so, Sadie sometimes barks at Temple students. We think that is because Sadie is so tiny that once in a while she becomes a little anxious around everyone’s feet. Luckily, folks understand that and pick her up and pass her from person to person!
The next day, Sadie joined the high school students in a scavenger hunt wearing her new bling selected just for the occasion. As you could imagine, Sadie luved everything about hunting on Temple’s Main Campus! The students were asked to arrive at a specific destination – the green box of grass shown in the Google Satellite image below - located on the mezzanine between Gladfelter and Anderson Halls.
The students were given clues to find different locations across campus, where other clues were located to help them solve the mystery of the location shown above. Sadie accompanied one of the groups. She posed for pictures, and she helped lead the way to each spot.
The students said that Sadie was a lot of fun to walk. One student even came to the main ITSRG office at the end of the day to spend a little bit more time with Sadie before she headed home to Fairmount. The best part of Sadie’s Mascot duties is that Lily finally enjoyed a little peace and quiet for her afternoon nap.
